Natural Skincare - The INs and OUTs
Natural skincare does not only refer to the use of natural or organic skin care products but how well you take care of yourself. This does not only mean what you put inside your body but also being aware of certain external factors. Knowing these will help us take better care of our skin and help in choosing the right skincare products we should use. Natural Skin Care - The INs You are what you eat. How often have we heard this? Too often? It must be true then! Indeed, ensuring that we take in enough vitamins and minerals necessary for the production and maintenance of healthy skin is at the top of our skin care musts. Hydration. Drink enough water! Water helps to flush out impurities, improve circulation and re-hydrate the skin. This is probably one of the easiest skin care tip you can do to ensure you have good skin. Everything in moderation. Proper skin care means not abusing toxic substances such as cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol and medications that can really ruin our skin. Relax. Stress should never be underestimated. Stress alters the body's chemistry and too much of it can cause skin allergies, blemishes, dark circles under the eyes and even that skin care nightmare called wrinkles!
Natural Skin Care - The OUTs Knowing these external factors will enable us to practice better skin care regimens. The years are just going by. We all cannot hold back time no matter how much we wish we could. So let's just accept that natural aging occurs and that this affects the appearance of our skin. The Sun. Too much exposure to the sun can dry and damage your skin and cause premature skin aging. This does not mean that you should not go out of course! Just ensure you further protect yourself by using sun block lotion. Humidity – Humidity can cause the skin to dry out, while high humidity creates excessive oiliness. Both interfere with the natural balance of the skin's functions. The Elements. Harsh wind can easily dry up your skin. It can even carry dust and dirt that stay on the surface of your skin and clog your pores. Written by: Kat Marion
