Cheap cosmetics, or bargain cosmetics, can be found almost anywhere, and you don't have to pay a fortune to get the same results. In a billion dollar industry such as beauty and cosmetics, there is plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the unsuspecting consumer, whose only concern is to look and feel great. So it doesn't matter how much or how often one buys makeup; the latest, and sometimes the more expensive a product, the better. However, there are also alternatives, especially if budget is your concern. Cheap Cosmetics and Quality It is a misconception that bargain makeup, especially makeup from unknown manufacturers, equate to poor quality. Sometimes, these affordable cosmetics have advantageous effects on your skin. In any case, your skin can't tell the difference if the foundation you put on costs $24 versus the cheaper substitute at $4, right? However, it's also very important that you take a look at some label information, to make sure that the bargain makeup you're buying is really a bargain, and not something that you'll regret when skin rashes and allergies begin to appear. What Your Cheap Makeup Labels Should Include - Ingredients – Any properly labeled consumer product should contain ingredients. Listing down the components of the makeup will allow you to see if you're allergic to any of them.
- SPF – Look for a product that contains the magic words SPF (sun protection factor) and one with at least number 30. Buying cheap makeup doesn't mean you have to sacrifice protecting your skin.
- Hypo-Allergenic – Despite affordability, unknown brands of makeup also come up with their own versions of hypo-allergenic cosmetics. This is particularly good if you have sensitive and easy-to-irritate skin.
