Wrinkle Removal - It Begins With A Long Hard Look at what you want to Achieve

Finding the ideal wrinkle removal treatment or product may be confusing, especially now that there are lots of options to choose from. What's more confusing is choosing the specific kind of option that would best suit your needs. Similarly, there are tons of anti wrinkle face cream brands, lots of dermatologists and plastic surgeons offering dermabrasions, micropeels, Botox, fillers and face lifts.

Wrinkle Removal - How Do you Know which Product is Best for You?

Looking at your face in the mirror is a good way to start. Assess what your problem areas are and what kind of wrinkles and lines you have. Do you have crow's feet and laugh lines? Are they concentrated around your lips (typical of smokers) or maybe around the eye area? Do you have wrinkles, which look like parentheses on either side of your mouth? These are normally because of sagging cheek skin. By knowing what your problem areas are and what kind of wrinkles you have, it's a lot easier to further evaluate what type of treatment or product you need.

Crow's feet and laugh lines, for instance can be removed by Botox injections, fillers, dermabrasions and micropeels. But skin fold wrinkles due to sagging skin requires tightening of the skin – as in, face lifts. However, if you only have fine lines here and there like when you have dry skin, these may be reduced by anti-wrinkle face creams with anti-oxidants and AHA's that will help keep skin hydrated and promote epidermal restoration to leave skin smoother and firmer.

As far as brands are concerned, ask some friends BUT don't forget to test it on a small patch of your skin first, to ensure you won't have any allergic reactions. Also, remember that different people have different skin types, so don't expect to have the same results. If it would help, also read product reviews and company profile to ensure that the product is FDA-approved.

Similarly, choose a reputable dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Check on his or her credentials to ensure that you're in good hands.
