New album from Dubmatix

The songs contained on this release  range from 2003 until 2008. Songs like Renegade Rocker & Shaolin Warroir were originally going to be on Atomic Subsonic but not included in the final selection of tracks for that album. Others were written  for touring or radio specials such as Conquered Kingdoms Dub, High Crimes Dub & Hashashin Dub. The last song "Ain't Got No Love"   is the very first track released by Dubmatix in 2003. Killing Dub is the latest, being completed in early march 2008 as a possile candidate for a 3rd CD release " Renegade Rocker" . The vocals on this single features Linval Thompson.

The facts:

Born on July the 19th 1968 in a small town in Nortrhine-Westfalia anwhere he was named Juergen Wolther. In the 1980s some friends nicknamed Sonny because of a joke   he gave at a party. This was related to the mainactor of the TV-series "Miami Vice" (very popular back then) whose name was Sonny Crocket.   His  chosen path  is not easy but he has fought  his way through all the obstacles like a lion. alion + lion = alion. alion + sonny = alionsonny. Omar Perry -  Man Free 

Omar Perry was born in Kingston Jamaica in 1968, a youngster who had the privilege of having a father such as the legendary producer and songwriter Lee “Scratch” Perry. At the tender age of 6, he and his little sister Marsha got the chance of recording on some of their father’ songs such as “Thanks we get” by Junior Byles and “Ram Goat Liver” by Pluto Shervington. Omar, at that age, was interested in playing the drums, growing up in such a musical environment, watching some of the greatest artists that ever worked in his father’s studio, the “Black Ark” : Max Romeo, Junior Murvin, Bob Marley with the Wailers, …. Omar knew one day he would dedicate his life to the Music. After leaving school as a teenager in the mid 80s, he decided to form a group with his brother Sean and sister Marsha. They were called “the Upsetter Juniors” which they performed at small gigs and talent concerts, started their own record label under the same name, produced a few local artists and their only single “Positive Vibration”.
