Singer and guitarist. Moved to Trenchtown in 1969 to break into the reggae music scene. Member of the RHT Invincibles alongside Lloyd Parks, Sly Dunbar and Roy Shirley. Played bass with a calypso/soca group George Tucker and the Stardust; worked with the Gladiators, in 1972 had a hit with Conquering Lion, a song written and performed by Vivian Jackson a k a Yabby U, Dada Smith, and Alric Forbes then became Yabby U and the Prophets. later did work with Chalice and the Defenders. 1989, The Defenders recorded "Chant Down Babylon." 1992 Alric Forbes released his first solo album, World Pride. Started his own label, I&I Pride Prouctions. World Pride has received favorable response and International airplay from Toronto, Canada, to Barcelona, Spain, and was named in Reggae Report Magazine as the #1 Independent Reggae Release. Served over 30 years in the music industry before passing on in the 1990s to join Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Dennis Brown.
